Demolition and site clearance of Kwik Save, Lichfield
The project consisted of the demolition of the old Kwik Save building in Lichfield City Centre whilst maintaining the 1930’s art deco frontage.
The building was a large former supermarket, which was originally a cinema, located in the centre of town with busy pedestrian areas to the front and rear, with a live construction site adjacent. The front façade was scaffolded and able to remain through skilful hand and machine demolition of the remainder of the building. The building and job was of high interest to the general public.
