Demolition of a large school in Birmingham
PBM were tasked with the demolition of Hallmoor School, a large school in Birmingham. Three excavators were on site simultaneously demolishing, breaking out slab and aiding crushing works. A seemingly simple project, however, due to the amount of plant on site it required detailed planning and constant live communication between all teams on site. The project was completed to the satisfaction of our client well within their programme.
The demolition process included
- Non-notifiable asbestos removal
- Management and co-ordination or notifiable asbestos works
- Strip out of the buildings
- Demolition of the former school
- Simultaneous demolition of separate areas of the site/school
- Removal of slab/foundations
- Crushing
- Site clearance
